Singapore is a thriving city with shopping that makes American malls look quaint, and Michelin starred food for pennies on the dollar. There’s never cold weather, so don’t bring your winter clothing.
Head to Haji Lane for street art and cute boutique stores. If you want to walk around in nature, be sure to check out the Gardens by the Bay. There are indoor and outdoor options in case you’re getting too hot.
You can also refresh yourself with a water taxi ride between Merlion Park and Marina Bay Sands.
If you want to eat like a king for mere dollars, head to Singapore’s famous food stalls - many of them have Michelin Bib Gourmand rating!
For more traditional restaurants, check out Jumbo Seafood or any restaurant at Marina Bay Sands. Our favorites include Ippudo for ramen, Din Tai Fung for Taiwanese dumplings, and Haidilao for Chinese hotpot. They’re all delicious, but they’re also nice and cool.
After you’ve eaten to bursting, check Singapore’s Botanic Gardens. They might just be the prettiest botanical gardens we’ve ever seen (and we’ve seen a few). And there’s nothing like more walking to get you in the mood for more food.
