Senior Director of Product - Distributed / Remote

The position

At point.me, our vision for the product function is evolving as our business scales. We have just closed our Series B fundraise, and are seeking an experienced product leader who can help us achieve our company vision: everyone who has points uses point.me. To achieve this vision, we need to build a world class growth engine, deliver value to our customers and our industry partners, and continue to evolve our award search experience.

We’ve gone 0-1, and now it’s time for us to build the foundation that will help us scale. Success in this role requires a seasoned leader who can articulate a strategic vision, align a prioritized roadmap of key initiatives to company OKRs, and build the team and processes to drive execution at the pace required of a high-growth scaling company. Expertise and building out your function is just one piece of this critical role. As a member of the leadership team, you will have the opportunity (and expectation!) to be a cross-functional force, driving alignment, collaboration, and impact with counterparts in consumer growth, customer success, enterprise, engineering, design, finance, and analytics.

This role reports directly to the VP of Product & Engineering where you will collaborate to set product strategy and direction across point.me’s portfolio.

Your work will directly impact the way rewards points are maximized and help people travel better.

This is a leadership role, with commensurate responsibility and compensation. The anticipated salary range is $204,000 to $250,000 in addition to significant equity. Specific compensation will be determined based on your level of experience. We are a fully remote and distributed team, but you must be eligible to work in United States.

Who You Are

You are an experienced product leader with a track record of success in high-growth, scaling startups. You’ve built and scaled product functions, overseen critical initiatives across data, UX, and GTM, and thrive in fast-paced environments. The following experiences and competencies are ideal for this role.

  • Startup Veteran: This is not your first rodeo building and scaling a product function. You are comfortable starting as a player-coach and pitching in as a PM while building your team. You’ve already navigated the scaling process at a high-growth startup, and you understand the agency (you MUST be a self-starter!), unique challenges, and pace of execution required to succeed.
  • Data-Driven Leadership: You have implemented product analytics to inform decision-making, prioritization, and measure success. You are equally comfortable making strong decisions in low-information environments when necessary.
  • Team Scope and Expertise: You’ve built and led product teams that work towards shared business goals but touch multiple verticals and multiple domains. You have worked with both D2C and B2B business models and customers.
  • Goal-Oriented: You’ve authored and achieved OKRs, aligning your teams around company goals and making adjustments to keep product roadmaps prioritized.
  • Strong Stakeholder Partner: You excel at working with diverse stakeholders, driving alignment across the org, ensuring clear communication and fast-paced delivery.
  • Design and User Research Experience: You incorporate design and user research into product development to create exceptional customer experiences and iterate quickly on feedback.
  • Strategic Vision and Planning Acumen: You can articulate a product vision and build scalable processes to support its execution. You know how to size initiatives based on business impact, build business cases, and how to advocate for resources to achieve big bets.


What You'll Do

  • Own the Product Vision: Lead the strategic direction for point.me's product, aligned with our business goals and our evolving understanding of the market.
  • Drive OKRs and Delivery Pace: Set and deliver on objectives, ensuring the team moves efficiently at a high-growth pace, with clear success metrics.
  • Optimize User Engagement and Growth: Lead initiatives to improve user acquisition, retention, and engagement metrics, using data-driven insights to enhance the user experience.
  • Support B2B Partnerships: Collaborate with enterprise teams to expand the value of partnerships with credit card issuers and loyalty programs, developing solutions that meet partner needs while enhancing the product’s capabilities.
  • Improve Award Search Efficiency: Continuously enhance the efficiency, comprehensiveness, accuracy, and value of the award search experience, ensuring it remains best-in-class for users.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Execution: Align cross-functional teams across the company to ensure the product drives consumer, enterprise, and technical goals. Build strong partnerships throughout the product development cycle to keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Build and Scale the Team: Develop a high-performing product team that can execute on critical functional challenges, including supplier integrations, backend improvements, and growth initiatives.
  • Integrate Design and User Research: Ensure the product development process includes strong design and research foundations to create a world-class user experience.
