Senior UX/UI Designer - Distributed / Remote

The Position

You’ll be responsible for the design and implementation of all the experiences our users have when interacting with point.me. You will ensure that all elements of the web/mobile experience are optimized for usability, drive desired user behavior, and reflect exceptional visual design. As a key member of our product team reporting directly to our Head of Product, you’ll play a critical role in imagining and iterating new ideas and you’ll collaborate directly with our engineering team to ensure seamless implementation. Additionally, by staying up to date with emerging trends in UX/UI design and technology, you’ll be an advocate for establishing design best practices at point.me.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and conceptualize a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for our brand and product in the context of our business goals.
  • Work effectively with internal teams to synthesize abstract challenges and ideas and generate a range of concrete design solutions.
  • Produce high-quality UX designs through sketches, wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
  • Establish a standardized design process for every step of the design journey from conception to implementation.
  • Design UI elements and tools such as buttons, iconography, search boxes, etc.
  • Oversee ongoing quantitative and qualitative testing of UX/UI to drive continuous optimization and cultivate an internal culture of user empathy.
  • Maintain consistency and influence design standards across web, mobile, and marketing.
  • Drive our shift from a web-centric to a mobile-first design approach.

What You Have

  • Minimum of 4 years of UI/UX design industry experience.
  • Experience designing elegant solutions to complex UX challenges, especially in the OTA/travel space, is a plus.
  • Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, UX/UI Design, or equivalent
  • Proven aptitude for quick creative problem solving and sharp attention to detail within a fast-paced environment.
  • A compelling professional design portfolio demonstrating extensive UX/UI experience for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Fluency in industry standard technologies and design applications ( iOS, Android, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Storybook, Powerpoint/Keynote).
  • Experience with HTML/CSS/Tailwind is a plus).
  • Experience building and maintaining a brand and product design systems.
  • A solid grasp of human-centered design, planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, and addressing usability and accessibility concerns.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction. You’re comfortable asking smart questions, taking risks, and championing new ideas.
  • Track record of working with engineering teams to translate design requirements into actionable direction.

We are hiring candidates with a range of backgrounds and qualifications under this listing. The anticipated salary range is  $95k to $130k; specific compensation will be determined based on your level of experience.
