How to View the Actual Email a Customer Received in Iterable

When a customer asks about an email they received—like a promo code or campaign—it’s important to confirm what was actually sent to their inbox. You can do this directly from their user profile in Iterable.

 

🪜 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Go to the User’s Profile

  • Navigate to:
    Audience > Users

  • Search for the customer’s email and open their profile

2. Access Event History

  • In the left sidebar, click Events > History

3. Locate the Email Send Event

  • Look for the relevant Email send event

  • Click the three dots () on the right side of the row

  • Select “View message”Event-history-06-25-2025_03_43_PM

4. View the Message

  • You’ll now see a recreation of the original email sent to the customer

  • This shows the HTML email preview, along with metadata like:

    • Campaign name and ID

    • Send date/time

    • Recipient email

    • From/reply-to address-Wallet-Launch-User-Profile-f-be-f-bee-faefaabe--06-25-2025_03_43_PM
