How to View the Actual Email a Customer Received in Iterable
When a customer asks about an email they received—like a promo code or campaign—it’s important to confirm what was actually sent to their inbox. You can do this directly from their user profile in Iterable.
🪜 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Go to the User’s Profile

Navigate to:
Audience > Users -
Search for the customer’s email and open their profile
2. Access Event History

In the left sidebar, click Events > History
3. Locate the Email Send Event

Look for the relevant
Email send
event -
Click the three dots (

) on the right side of the row -
Select “View message”
4. View the Message
-
You’ll now see a recreation of the original email sent to the customer

This shows the HTML email preview, along with metadata like:

Campaign name and ID

Send date/time

Recipient email

From/reply-to address
